The Process for Customized Web Development
After contacting me to let me know you are interested, there will be a few standard steps that I take to understand what you want, how soon you want it, and what the overall cost will be:
- We will arrange a time to meet in person, or if that is not feasible we will arrange a phone call. During this initial meeting I will need the following information from you:
- A list of 3 to 5 websites that you find appealing both in style and function
- What your business goals are, and how you envision a website might serve these goals
- Who your customers are currently and who you would like to have as future customers
- Specific functions you desire in your website
- I will then take 24-48 hours to write a proposal that I will email or fax to you. This will include the full scope of functionality and pricing as well as an agreed timeframe.
- Once you agree to the proposal I will receive half of my fee before starting the work.
- I will create a homepage with styling that will be consistent throughout the site for your approval before I continue building out the rest of the site.
- I will finish the site, and once I receive the remainder of the payment, I will publish the site to your domain.
- If you do not approve of the site within the agreed timeframe there will be additional fees for development time (This usually does not happen).
- You will receive complimentary maintenance and education for 30 days after the date of publishing the website to the Web.
